Military Hospital

This hospital is situated in New Lal Bagh, and it’s become a familiar sight for anyone living in this part of town. The area around it is mostly residential, so it feels a bit more tucked away than some of the other branches. We have a decent-sized compound with some old trees that provide a lot of shade for the cars and bikes parked outside. Inside, it’s the usual hospital environment, nothing too fancy or modern, just functional rooms and clean floors. We deal with everything from minor scrapes to longer-term stays in the wards. The staff here is mostly local, so there’s a lot of regional language being spoken in the halls. On weekends, things are usually a bit quieter, but the emergency side never really stops. We’ve had to patch up the roof a few times after heavy storms, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it doesn't stop the work from getting done. Patients usually bring their own water bottles and wait patiently on the plastic chairs in the lobby. We don't have a big fancy reception, just a wooden desk with a lot of ledgers and a computer that’s seen better days. It’s a reliable place for the people here, and we don't try to be anything other than a basic medical facility. We just show up, do our shifts, and help the folks who walk through the doors as best as we can. It's just simple, honest work.
