Our little office is located at 15A on Street No.-5 in Dashmesh Nagar. It’s tucked away a bit, but most locals know the area well enough. Working as an architect here means dealing with a lot of different types of houses and buildings. Kaur Kanwal Preet Architect is where we spend our days drawing and measuring things out. It’s not a big corporate setup. Usually, it’s just the sound of pencils on paper or the hum of the computer. The shelves are packed with old binders and building codes that we have to look up all the time. Dashmesh Nagar is a good place to be, and we've gotten to know a lot of the people living on Street No.-5 over the years. Sometimes neighbors just pop in to say hello or ask a quick question about a renovation they're thinking about doing. We don't mind. It’s part of being in a community like this. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a project is going to be too expensive or difficult, we just say so. There’s no point in making things sound better than they are. We just want to make sure that whatever we design is something that can actually be built and lived in without a lot of trouble later on. It's a lot of staring at blueprints and making sure every inch of the land is used properly.
