Kaur Gurnoor Architect

We are right across from the P.W.D. Rest House on Bhupindra Road, at 1-A. It’s a decent spot because it’s easy to tell people where to go. Being an architect means we spend a lot of time thinking about walls and roofs. Kaur Gurnoor Architect is basically just us sitting in a room trying to figure out how to make a space work better for someone. The office is often cluttered with site samples, tile pieces, and rolls of drawings that we haven't archived yet. It feels like a real workspace, not a showroom. We don't have any fancy awards on the walls or anything like that. We just show up, drink some tea, and get to work on whatever project is on the desk that morning. Bhupindra Road is a busy place, so there's always something going on outside our window. It helps keep us from getting too bored with the numbers. Sometimes a client comes in with an idea that doesn't make sense, and we have to explain why a certain wall can't be moved. That’s the practical side of the job. It’s a lot of back and forth until the plan looks right. We’ve been at this for a while and don't plan on going anywhere. It’s just steady, daily work for us here, making sure people have a solid plan before they start building anything permanent.
