Jvr Forgings Ltd Ludhiana is actually located over at 612 Dalima Vihar in Rajpura. It’s in the Patiala district of Punjab. Even though Ludhiana is in the name, this is where we do the actual work. Forging metal is a loud and hot job. We spend our days around heavy machinery and the smell of hot iron. It’s not the kind of place you’d wear a suit to. Most of us are in work clothes that have seen better days. The area here in Rajpura is pretty industrial, so we fit right in with the other shops. We deal with a lot of heavy parts and shipping them out to where they need to go. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a press or a hammer. It’s just part of the routine. We don't have a big polished front office. If you come by, you’ll probably see us covered in a bit of grease or dust. We’ve been doing this for a while and we know the rhythms of the factory. It’s about getting the metal right and making sure the dimensions are what they should be. We don't talk much about excellence or anything like that. We just focus on the heat and the metal. It’s a simple life if you don’t mind the noise and the hard work. Punjab is a good place for this kind of work.
