Inder Singh & Co. is located in the Old Anaj Mandi area, near Nabha Gate. If you know where the Shiv Mandir is, we are very close to that. We are actually right across from Raj Soap N Co. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history. Our family has been working out of this spot for decades. The building shows its age, but it works for what we do. We handle various goods, mostly things people need for their shops. The streets are narrow here, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. We have to time it just right. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and manual work. We aren't a big corporation with uniforms. Most days I’m just wearing my regular clothes and helping move sacks. The air in the Mandi is always full of different smells. We see the same faces every day. It’s a tight community. Sometimes we sit outside on stools when business is slow. We don't have a fancy logo or a marketing plan. We just open the shutters and see who comes by. It’s how we’ve survived all these years. My son is starting to help out more now. It’s good to have extra hands. We just keep doing what we know. The Old Anaj Mandi has a lot of character, and we're glad to be a small part of it. It’s not much, but it’s ours.
