Heenu Craft

Our office is over at B-16/304 on Suigran Street. We’re right near the Gurudwara, so it’s easy to find if you know the area. We do a lot of craft work here, mostly small items and handmade things. The office is tucked away in the building and it’s usually full of boxes and packing tape. We spend most of our time at the workbenches cutting materials or gluing things together. It gets a bit dusty with all the supplies around, but we try to keep it organized enough to find what we need. We’ve been working out of this Suigran Street spot for quite a while. It’s not a retail store where you walk in and browse shelves. It’s more of a workspace where we get orders done. Sometimes we have a lot of stuff to get through and the coffee machine is the most important thing in the room. We don't have a big team, just a few people who know how to handle the tools. We don't put on any acts here. If a job is going to take a week, we say it’ll take a week. We’re just regular people making things with our hands. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to stop for a bit, but we always get back to it. It’s steady work and we like being in this neighborhood near the temple. It feels like home after all these years.
