Greenlands Organics

You can find us at 7 Upper Mall, right across from the Polo Ground. It is a nice part of Patiala, especially in the mornings when people are out near New Lal Bagh. Our shop is a bit different from the bigger stores. We mostly handle organic stuff, so the smells inside are usually quite pleasant. We open up and start setting out the stock on the shelves. It’s a simple setup. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who live around the Mall area. They come in for their usual things and we catch up on what’s happening in the town. We don't have a flashy website or anything. Most of what we do is just face-to-face. Sometimes the shipments are late and the shelves look a bit bare, which can be frustrating. But we just tell people to come back the next day. The building is older, so it has its quirks, like a door that sticks when it rains. We try to keep things honest and let the products speak for themselves. Working near the Polo Ground is good because there is always some greenery to look at when things get slow in the afternoon. It is just a small local business trying to provide something decent to the neighborhood. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep the doors open and see who comes by to visit us today.
