We’re set up at Dardi Colony on the Patiala Road. The business is registered under Rekha Rani’s name, and she’s the wife of Ajay Kumar. It’s a family-oriented thing for us. Danbury Yarns is where we spend most of our waking hours. The location on PTA Road is convenient because it’s a main route, so getting materials in and out isn't too much of a headache. We deal with yarn mostly, similar to many others in this part of Punjab. Our setup isn't very large, just a practical space to get the work done. We don't have a team of secretaries or a big marketing department. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us just picks it up while we’re doing something else. It’s a bit informal, but it works for us. We’ve had some tough times like any other small business, but we keep pushing through. The neighborhood is mostly regular folks, and we try not to be too much of a nuisance with our operations. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or billboards. Word of mouth is usually how we get our leads. People know us in the colony, and that’s enough for now. It’s a lot of long days and sometimes the weekends get eaten up by work too. That’s just the way it is when you’re running your own show. We just keep our heads down and work. We don't need any more than that.
