Basis Clothing Private Limited

We are over at House Number 59 on Rose Avenue in Patiala. It is a regular residential street, which makes the work feel a bit more personal than being in a big factory. We use the house as our base for making clothes. It might seem a little cramped sometimes with all the sewing machines and boxes of buttons, but we make it work. Most of the neighbors know us by now. They see the delivery vans pulling up and the staff arriving every morning. We don’t have a big sign or a glass storefront. It’s just a house where we do our business. Inside, the rooms are filled with patterns and cut pieces of cloth. We try to keep things organized, but when we are busy, things get a little messy. That is just how it goes when you are actually making things by hand. The kitchen usually has a kettle going for whoever needs a break. We started this because we knew how to sew and wanted to stay local. There are no big meetings or corporate rules here. We just talk across the rooms to get things sorted. Patiala is a good place to be, and Rose Avenue is quiet enough that we can hear ourselves think while we work on the next batch of orders. It is a simple life and we like it that way. We just keep the sewing machines running until the day is done.
