Our place is over in Patiala, specifically in Krishna Basti. We are located near the post office, which is how most people find us if they are looking. The address is listed under Parshotam Dass, and it is a pretty typical setup for this part of Punjab. We deal with cotton spinning, so there is always a bit of lint in the air and the sound of machinery in the background. It is hard work, especially when the weather gets really humid. We have a small crew and most of them have been spinning for years. They know the rhythm of the machines better than anyone. Patiala can get very cold in the winter, so we usually have a small heater going in the corner while we work. We are not a big company with a marketing department. We are just a local LLP trying to keep the machines running and the cotton moving. Most of our day is spent making sure the thread is coming out right and fixing anything that breaks down. It is a lot of hands-on labor. We do not have a website or anything like that; we just rely on the work we do. People in the Basti know where we are. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot and we keep going until the day's quota is met. It is just honest, simple work in a busy neighborhood.
