Being right near the N.T.C. School in Rajpura Town means we get used to the sound of children playing and the bells ringing every hour. Our office is at H.No.1393. It’s a familiar place for most people in this part of town. We’ve got a front room that’s basically full of paper rolls and old models made of cardboard. It’s a bit of a mess, to be honest, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a secretary, so if the bell rings, one of us just gets up to see who it is. Most of the people who stop by are neighbors or folks who heard about us from someone else in Rajpura. We spend our days sketching out ideas and trying to figure out how to make old buildings work a little better. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and the desks are pushed up against the windows to catch the light. It gets a bit cold in the winter because the door doesn’t shut quite right, so we usually wear sweaters while we work. We don’t use much fancy software if we can help it; a pencil usually does the job just fine. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here. We take the work as it comes and try to do right by the people who trust us with their homes.
