This Vodafone spot is tucked away in Village Kotkala. We are right near the Mackdowel area on the Old Phawara Road. It’s not the busiest street in the world, but people around here know it well enough. The road can be a bit bumpy depending on the season. We spend a lot of time just handling whatever comes through the door. It’s mostly folks from the village or people passing through who need something sorted out. The building isn't anything special to look at. We have a small desk and a few chairs for people to wait. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it keeps the air moving at least. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the door halfway shut to stay cool. There’s a tea stall not too far down the road where we get our morning chai. If you’re looking for us, just head toward Mackdowel and look for the Old Phawara Road turn-off. We’ve been here for a good bit now, so we’ve seen the seasons come and go. It’s a quiet life mostly. We don’t do anything flashy. Just show up, open the shutters, and see who needs help that day. It’s a simple routine we’ve got going. Sometimes the cows walk right past the front door, which is just part of being in the village. We have a calendar on the wall to keep track of the days.
