You will find Shreebalaji Livelihood Foundation at number 234, near the Shiv Mandir in Manwal. This is in the Pathankot area of Gurdaspur. Being near the temple means there are always people around and it’s a familiar landmark for everyone. Our office is a simple building. It’s not very large, but it’s enough for what we do. We have a few tables, some old chairs, and a cupboard full of documents. We spend our days talking to the people from Manwal and the surrounding villages. Pathankot has its own pace, and we follow it. We aren't trying to be a corporate giant. We are just a local group trying to make things work. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy logo on everything. Most people just know us because they’ve walked past the Shiv Mandir and seen our sign. We keep things very informal. If you come by, you’ll likely find us drinking tea and going over the day's plans. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated explanations. We just focus on the livelihood work and the people who need it. It’s a practical, everyday sort of place. Some days are long, and the paperwork piles up, but we just keep at it until it's done. We don't think much about the future, we just look at what's right in front of us and try to be useful.
