Military Hospital

This hospital is tucked inside the Dhangu military complex in Pathankot. It’s been here for quite some time now, and most people around here know exactly where to find us. The entrance can be a bit of a walk if you’re coming from the main gate, but there are usually rickshaws or someone passing by to help out. It gets really hot in the summer months, so the fans in the waiting rooms are always running at full speed. We handle a lot of regular check-ups for the guys stationed here and their families. Sometimes the lines at the pharmacy get pretty long, especially on Monday mornings when everyone seems to show up at once. The building isn't brand new or anything, but it’s kept clean and the floors are mopped twice a day. We have different wings for different things, like the dental section and the general wards. The nurses are busy mostly, running around with charts and making sure everyone is where they need to be. During the monsoon, the rain hits the tin roofs quite loudly, which makes it hard to hear sometimes in the corridors. It's a busy place, but that’s just how it is in a big complex like Dhangu. You’ll see people waiting on the wooden benches outside the OPD, some reading newspapers and others just chatting to pass the time. It feels like a small town inside the complex. We just keep things moving, making sure the paperwork gets done. It’s not fancy, but it does what it’s supposed to.
