Kaka Ram Sardari Lal Hardware Shops

Our shop is Shop No 18 on Dalhousie Road, located inside the Municipal Bazar right near Gandhi Chowk. Kaka Ram Sardari Lal Hardware Shops has been around for a long time, and we’ve always stayed right in this same spot. The Municipal Bazar is a busy place to be, especially with Gandhi Chowk being such a central point in town. Our shop isn't very big, so we have to use every bit of space we have to store our inventory. We have rows and rows of small drawers filled with screws, nails, and all kinds of small hardware. Most of our day is spent helping customers find exactly what they need for their home repairs. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the day from handling all the metal and tools. We don’t use any of those modern retail systems. We just know where everything is and we write things down as we go. It’s a traditional way of doing business, but it works for us. We like the busy atmosphere of the bazar and seeing the same people week after week. Dalhousie Road can be a bit of a squeeze when it’s busy, but that’s just part of life here. We aren't trying to change how we do things. We just provide hardware and tools to anyone who needs them.
