Mulamoottil Eye Hospital & Research Center

If you are traveling along the Main Road in Kozhencherry, you will probably see our building. We have been part of this community for a long time, focusing on eye care and research. It’s a hospital, but it often feels more like a local meeting point because so many people from the district come through our doors. The main road is always busy with buses and cars, so there is a lot of noise near the entrance. Once you get inside, we try to keep things moving, though it can get pretty crowded on certain mornings. We have different sections for vision tests and more technical rooms for the research work we do. It’s a bit of a mix of older habits and newer equipment. Many of our staff members have been here for decades, so they know exactly how everything works. We don't put much money into fancy decorations or expensive lobby furniture. The main thing is the patients and their eyesight. Sometimes you have to wait a while to be seen, especially when people travel from far away and arrive all at once. We just take it one person at a time and do the best we can. It’s a steady, busy life here in Kozhencherry. Seeing someone walk out with better vision is just part of the daily routine for us.
