Mother Mary Kg & Play School

You can find us in Budhanoor East, right on the Parambathurpadi Budhanoor Vazhuvadikadavu Road. It’s a bit of a long name for a road, but it’s a nice area in Chengannur, Alappuzha. We run a small KG and play school for the little kids in the neighborhood. The morning is usually the busiest time when parents are dropping off their toddlers before they head to work. It gets pretty loud with all the crying and laughing, but that’s just how it is with small children. We have a small space set up with toys and some basic learning stuff for them. It’s not a huge institution, just a local place where kids can spend their day. We spend a lot of time playing games and teaching them their ABCs. The staff are mostly local women who are good with children. We try to keep things safe and clean, but with kids, there’s always a bit of a mess somewhere. The road outside can get a bit busy, so we have to be careful during drop-off and pick-up times. Most families in Ennakkad and Budhanoor know where we are. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything; people just see the sign and stop by. It’s a simple life looking after the kids and making sure they are happy until their parents come back. We’ve been doing this for a while now and it’s just our regular routine. It is a noisy but fun place.
