Le Meridien Resort & Convention Hotel, Cochin

Living and working at Malicheril House in Ranny is quite different from being in a big city. Even though we are connected to the Le Meridien Resort and Convention Hotel in Cochin, our daily life here in Pathanamthitta is much slower. The address is just a house in a quiet area surrounded by greenery and trees. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the computer, coordinating things that are happening far away. The road to Chetheckal is winding and can be a bit rough after it rains, which happens a lot in this part of Kerala. We don't have a big lobby or a staff in uniforms here. It’s just a quiet room where we keep our files and try to stay on top of the schedule. Sometimes it feels a bit disconnected being so far from the actual hotel, but we manage just fine. The air is fresh and you can hear the birds all day, which is a nice change from the traffic in Cochin. We have to drive a bit just to get basic supplies, so we’ve learned to be very organized with our time. It isn't a flashy office by any means. It’s just a practical space in a family house where we handle the back-end stuff that keeps everything else running smoothly. We don't really have visitors here, so it's mostly just us and the local sounds of the countryside.
