Grand Inverter Store

Running the Grand Inverter Store here in Muttumon, Kumbanad, is mostly about making sure people have power when the grid decides to go off. It happens more often than anyone likes, especially during the rainy season when the trees fall on the lines. Our shop is pretty straightforward. We keep the inverters stacked up and the batteries are usually over in the corner because they are so heavy to move around. Muttumon is a quiet enough place, but everyone needs electricity for their fans and lights. We spend a lot of time explaining how the systems work to neighbors who stop by. It’s not just about selling a box; it’s about making sure the wires are right and the backup actually kicks in when it is supposed to. Sometimes the shop gets a bit messy with empty cardboard boxes and packing tape everywhere, but we try to keep it organized enough so we can find the tools we need. We are usually here from morning until the evening, unless we are out at someone’s house helping them set things up. Kumbanad is a small community, so word gets around if you do a decent job. We don’t have any big advertisements or anything. We just rely on the fact that we are right here in the neighborhood and people know where to find us when their lights go out. It is a simple life and it keeps us busy.
