Dcsmat School Of Animation And Gaming is tucked away in the Kinfra Film & Video Park. We are located near the Sainik School area in Pathanamthitta. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but being in the film park makes sense for what we do. The students here spend a lot of time staring at screens and drawing on tablets. It is not like a regular school where you just read books all day. There is a lot of clicking and typing going on in the labs. We have people from all over Kerala and even further away coming here because they want to work in movies or games. The weather here can be quite rainy, which means everyone is stuck inside a lot. We have a lot of computers, as you might guess. Sometimes the studios are quiet when everyone is focused on a project, and other times it is quite noisy with people talking about designs. We are near the Tiruvalla Market too, so it is not completely isolated. Pathanamthitta is a nice place to be, even if it feels a bit hidden. We do not have a lot of flashy signs or anything. It is just a place where people come to learn how to make things move on a screen. The day starts early and often ends late for those finishing their portfolios.
