Apollo Hospital

Our place is situated in Pathanamthitta, down in Kerala, with the pin code 689585. It’s a busy spot because hospitals usually are, no matter the time of day. People are always coming and going through the doors, some looking worried and others just here for a routine check. The humid Kerala weather means the air conditioning is always humming in the background, which is a sound you just get used to after a few shifts. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that because the focus is always on the patients waiting in the halls. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we know the local roads and the best places to grab a quick snack when there's a break. It can get pretty loud when the lobby is full, but we try to keep things moving as best as we can. There is a lot of paperwork to deal with, and sometimes the computers are slow, which makes the day feel a bit longer than it is. We’ve been part of the Pathanamthitta community for a good while, and you see a lot of the same faces coming back over the years. It isn't a glamorous job, and the floors always need cleaning because of the rain outside, but it is what we do. We just keep the lights on and stay ready for whoever walks in next. It’s a simple, hardworking environment where everyone has their specific task to handle.
