At No. 17 Dida, things are much quieter than in the big cities. We do not have a lot of neighbors around this spot. Fmc India Private Limited has been operating out of this simple building for a while now. It is a basic structure with a few rooms and a main area where we keep all the equipment and our desks. The morning usually starts with one of us sweeping the front step because the dust settles really fast around here. We do not get many visitors, mostly just the delivery trucks or the occasional local person stopping by to ask a question. It is a very practical setup without any fluff. We have a big wooden table where we lay out all the schedules and plans for the week. The walls are plain white, or they used to be before they got marked up from moving the furniture around. We keep a small radio playing in the background just to keep the silence away. There is a single tree outside that gives some nice shade to the front door in the afternoon. We usually sit out there for a bit during our break. The work is steady and we handle a lot of the local logistics. It is not a glamorous job but it is what we know how to do. We like the routine of it. The keys to the main gate are heavy and we make sure everything is locked up tight before we head home.
