Vj Art & Design

We are located right in Bahuchar Mata Pole here in Patan. It is a busy little spot in the Madarsha area and most days it stays pretty loud outside with people going to and from the market. Vj Art & Design isn't some big corporate place with glass walls. We just have our space where we get things done. It usually smells like paper and ink inside. Some mornings the humidity is quite high so we open the windows early. Being at this address for a while means we know most of the people who walk past. Patan-Gujarat has its own pace and we just follow it. Our workspace is often covered in drawings and notes from projects we are working on. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized but we always know where everything is. The street outside is narrow and can be a bit of a squeeze for cars but that is just how the old part of town is. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just show up in the morning, make some tea, and start on the designs. Most of the day is spent sitting at the desks or looking at samples. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you knock, one of us will just come to the door. It’s a practical way to run things. We like being in this neighborhood because everything we need is close by.
