Shiv Psyllium Industries

Shiv Psyllium Industries sits right by the Tawadia Char Rasta on the State Highway. It’s a spot where a lot of people pass through every day. We spend our time processing psyllium and keeping the machines running. It can be a bit loud when everything is going at once. The floor gets covered in husks and we sweep it out every evening before locking up. The building has seen better days but it stays dry when it rains, which is the main thing. We have a small crew of people from the local area. Most of us have been working together for a long time. We don't have a human resources department or any of those big company things. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out over lunch. The highway is always humming with cars and trucks. Sometimes the vibration shakes the windows in the front office. We keep a stash of spare parts in the corner because you never know when something will rattle loose. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the weights are right on the scales. We don't use much fancy technology, just the stuff that has worked for years. The sun sets right behind the factory and makes the whole place glow for a few minutes. Then we pack up and head home to our families. It’s a simple life and we like it just fine that way.
