Patan Patola Heritage

We are located at Patan Patolawale Wadi, right across from the Uketer Tank. Our place, Patan Patola Heritage, is where we keep the old ways of making cloth alive. It's not a big factory with loud machines. Instead, it’s a space where we work on the looms and keep track of the threads. The area around the Uketer Tank is pretty familiar to everyone in Patan. We spend most of our time focused on the patterns and the dyes. It takes a lot of patience to do what we do, and we don't like to rush things. If you come by, you'll see us working on pieces that take a long time to finish. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just have our hands and the looms. The building itself is older, and it feels like it belongs in this part of town. We are proud of the work we do here, but we don't go around shouting about it. We just let the fabric speak for itself. Sometimes the dye gets on our clothes, and the floors are a bit worn down from years of walking back and forth. It’s a real working space. We've stayed in this same spot because it feels right. People know where to find us when they want to see how these traditional clothes are made. We’re just here every day, working the threads and keeping the heritage going.
