Sustainable Integrated Development Association

You can find us over in Ward No 2 in Narkatiaganj. We are right by the Purani Bazar area, at Madan Pathak’s place. It’s a busy spot in Bettiah. We started this association because we saw things weren’t moving forward much in our town. We aren't fancy people with suits. We are just locals who grew up here and want to see things get a bit better for the next generation. We work on a lot of different things, whatever seems most important at the time. Sometimes it's about helping with local jobs or just fixing something in the neighborhood. We don't have a huge budget or anything like that. It’s mostly just people chipping in what they can. We talk to the shopkeepers in the bazar and the families living nearby. It’s a small operation. We don’t have a website with lots of photos. We just do the work and go home. People around here know where to find us if they have an idea or a problem. It’s a bit messy sometimes, trying to coordinate everyone, but we make it work. We’ve been here in Narkatiaganj for a while. We aren't trying to impress anyone. We just want to see the town do okay. It takes a lot of patience to get things done, but we’re not going anywhere. The bazaar is always noisy, but it feels like home to us. We might not have the best tools, but we use what is available. It is hard to change things quickly, so we just take it day by day.
