Shree Sky World Foundation

We are out in Banbira village, in the Morwa block. Our office is at Krishnadeo Rai’s place, which is right in the middle of the Tola. It’s a very rural spot, so things move at a different pace here. We started Shree Sky World Foundation because we wanted to have a base for our activities right here at home. We don’t have a big fancy office with air conditioning. It’s just a regular house where we gather to talk and plan. Most of our days are spent dealing with local issues or just keeping the records straight. We have a lot of visitors from the village, which is nice. It keeps us connected. The village of Banbira is pretty quiet most of the time, except when there is a festival or a market day. We don't really follow a strict schedule. We start when the sun is up and finish when we are done. It’s a very practical way of working. We don't use a lot of big words or have long meetings. We just decide what needs doing and try to do it. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we run into small problems, but that’s just life. We’re just local people trying to make things work in our own way. We usually have some snacks around for whoever drops by to chat.
