Paryavaran Sanrakshak Sena Foundation

Our foundation is based at House Number 132 in the area of Piprapo Narwal Barwal, which is near Bagaha. Gajendra Yadav is the person who keeps everything running day to day. We live in a place where the natural environment really matters for our survival, so we started Paryavaran Sanrakshak Sena Foundation to keep a close eye on the land. We are not a fancy group of activists from the city. Most of us are just farmers and local workers who care about the trees and the fields around our own homes. Bagaha can be a hard place to live if you do not respect the nature around you. We spend many of our days out in the fields or near the river, checking on the water and the soil. We do not have uniforms or any big banners to show off. Usually, it is just a few of us meeting up at Gajendra’s house to talk about what needs to be done next. Maybe we need to plant some new saplings or clean up a part of the road that has gotten messy with trash. It is very practical and hands-on work. We do not spend much time sitting in offices because the real work happens outside. Sometimes we have to argue with people who don't see why this matters, but we don't really mind. We are not polished talkers. We just speak our minds and do what we can with our own tools. It is just us doing our part in our own backyard.
