We’re located over in West Champaran, specifically in the Bagaha area. The business is run by the family of Shivnath Tiwari out in Banachahari. It’s a local operation through and through. We deal with agri inputs, which basically means we supply the things farmers need to get started each season. Being in Bagaha, we are quite close to the border areas, and it gets pretty busy around here when the planting starts. Our workspace is pretty much just a part of the house and a storage area for the supplies. It’s not polished or fancy. You might see some bags piled up or some old ledgers on the desk. We don’t use a lot of technology; we prefer talking to people face-to-face. That’s how things have always been done here. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to move things around, especially when it pours, but we manage. We’ve lived in this part of Bihar all our lives, so we know the people and we know the land. It’s a simple life. We wake up, see who needs what, and try to get it to them. We don’t have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just want to be a reliable place for the local farmers to get their supplies without any hassle or extra costs. It is rewarding to see the crops grow well after we help out with the initial inputs.
