Aarushi Skill & Education Foundation

Our foundation, Aarushi Skill & Education, is over in Ramnagar, which is part of Bettiah in West Champaran. We are located on the Nagar Panchayat Road, right at the place of Vinod Kumar. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you are familiar with the Ramnagar neighborhood. The address is part of the 845106 pincode. The building we are in is a simple one, typical for this part of Bihar. We have a small office space where we manage all the skill and education programs we are working on. It’s not a very large area, so we have to be careful with how we use the floor space for our boxes and desks. We have a few shelves for books and some old wooden desks that we've had for years. The Nagar Panchayat road is usually quite busy with people going to the local market or heading to work in the morning. We can hear the bikes and the occasional tractor passing by outside the door. It’s a very honest and hardworking atmosphere here. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and some notes we’ve pinned up to keep track of things. The weather in West Champaran can be quite unpredictable, with heavy rains in the monsoon, so we have to keep an eye on the roof leaks. It’s just a small group of us working out of a room in Ramnagar, doing what we can every day.
