Ston Bricks

Ston Bricks is situated in Villpost- Kharika Mathani, which is under the Nayagram police station area. It is a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't from the district, but we like the space we have. The land is wide and allows us to keep a large inventory of bricks ready. Most of our days are spent out in the open, dealing with the mud and the fire from the kiln. It is a very rural setting, so we don't get much walk-in traffic like a shop in the city would. Most of our business comes from people who know us or have heard about us from their neighbors in Nayagram. We don't do anything special; we just make sure the bricks are solid enough for building. Sometimes the logistics of getting the bricks out to the main road can be a bit of a challenge, especially when the paths get muddy after a heavy storm. We just deal with it as it comes. There are no fancy offices here, just a lot of hard work and sweat. We all pitch in with the loading because those bricks aren't going to move themselves onto the trucks. It is a tough way to earn a paycheck, but we have been doing it for quite some time now. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the fires burning at the right temperature for the best results.
