Samanta Cold Drinks

Our business is in a village called Kakdihi. It’s near Mecheda and comes under the Kolaghat police station in Purba Midnapur. We run Samanta Cold Drinks from here. It’s a simple shop. We have a couple of large refrigerators to keep everything cold. In this part of West Bengal, it gets very humid, so cold drinks are always in demand. We are a small family setup. We don't have any branches or big offices. Just this one spot in Kakdihi. We get our supplies from the distributors in Mecheda. The road to the village can be a bit bumpy sometimes, especially after the rains. We’ve been here for quite many years now. Everyone in the village knows where Samanta’s shop is. We don't just sell drinks; we also have some small snacks. It’s a place where people stop while they are walking home or going to the fields. We don't have a marketing strategy. We just open the shop every day and talk to whoever comes by. The village life is quiet most of the time. We hear the temple bells in the morning. It’s a peaceful way to work. We don't want to grow into some huge company. We just want to serve our local area and make enough to keep going. It’s honest work and we take pride in that. We just keep the drinks cold and the doors open.
