Rintu Pintu Varyti Stores is a local shop on Gandhi Road in Lalpur. We are under the Bhagabanpur police station area in the Purba Midnapur district. It’s a typical small-town store where we try to keep a little bit of everything. The name comes from family, and we’ve been running the place on Gandhi Road for quite some time now. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors from around Lalpur or people traveling through this part of Midnapur. We don't have any big aisles or shopping carts like the big city stores. It is more about asking for what you need and we find it for you on the shelves. The shop gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone is done with work and comes out to buy things for their homes. We enjoy the talk and the daily interaction with everyone. It’s a simple life running a variety store. We spend time restocking and making sure we don't run out of the basics. There isn't any fancy management here, just us making sure the doors stay open and the shelves stay full. If you are walking down Gandhi Road, you can't miss us. We are just a regular part of the street, doing our best to keep the local community supplied with what they need day to day. We sometimes sit outside on the bench when it is quiet and watch the world go by. It is just the way we like to work.
