About National Dairy Development Board Anand – Agriculture & Farming in Paschim Medinipur
Dharmadasbard village is a quiet place in the Purba Midnapur district, and that is where you will find us working most days. The air smells like the countryside and there is always something going on with the local dairy farmers. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or near the collection points where the milk comes in every morning and evening. It is a long way from the big cities, so things move a bit slower here, which suits us just fine. The roads can get a bit muddy during the rainy season, making it hard to get around the village, but the work never really stops because the cows do not take days off. We mostly talk to the villagers and help out with whatever is needed to keep the dairy operations running smoothly. Our office isn't much to look at, just a practical space where we keep our records and meet with people from the area. Sometimes the fans struggle with the heat in the afternoon, but we just keep at it. It is honest work and everyone in Dharmadasbard knows where we are if they need to drop off milk or ask a question about their livestock. We do not have fancy signs or a big reception area, just a desk and some chairs for whoever stops by.
