Mithi Lifters & Engineering Works

We are out in Amarshi, in the Putaspur area of Purba Midnapore. It’s a bit of a rural setting, which suits the kind of work we do just fine. Mithi Lifters & Engineering Works is basically a large workshop where we deal with heavy lifting equipment and general engineering repairs. The ground is usually dusty and there are bits of iron lying around the yard. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and everyone around here knows they can bring their broken tools or machinery to us. It’s not a fast-paced environment like you find in the big cities, but the work is steady. We rely on our hands and some old, reliable machines that have been with us since we first started. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit messy, and it’s hard to get trucks in and out of Putaspur for a day or two. We just wait it out. There’s no air conditioning, just the breeze coming through the open doors of the shed. We don’t have a website or a fancy logo. Most of our customers just show up at the gate with a problem they need fixed. We sit down, have a bit of water, and talk about what needs to be done. It’s simple, honest work that keeps the local farms and small businesses running. We take pride in just getting the job done without any unnecessary talk.
