We are based out in Ekarukhi, which is reached via Khakurda in the Medinipur district. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you’re coming from the bigger cities in Bengal. The air is a bit different out this way, and life moves at a pace that isn't so rushed. We have our small office where we manage things for Jmc Projects (India) Ltd. It’s a quiet spot compared to the highway. We don't have a lot of walk-in traffic, mostly just the people who have business with us or the local workers. The office is pretty basic with just the essential furniture and some old fans that creak a bit. We spend our days tracking materials and making sure the guys on the ground have what they need. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just something we’ve learned to deal with. We just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s not a fancy corporate life, but it suits us fine. We know the roads around here well, even the ones that aren't paved properly. We handle the paperwork and the local coordination without much fuss. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don’t need to say much to understand what needs to be done. It’s a practical setup in a rural area, and we just keep at it day after day. It keeps us busy and out of trouble. We don't need much else to stay productive.
