Chandi Mandal

My name is Chandi Mandal and I am located in Bhawanipur, Dantan. This is where I have lived and worked for as long as I can remember. My business isn't something that has a lot of rules or a big corporate structure. It’s just me and a few others trying to make a living in this part of the country. Dantan is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, so you have to be honest. If you aren't, word gets around fast. We don't have a big office building. We work out of a modest space in Bhawanipur that fits what we do perfectly. It’s got everything we need and nothing we don’t. I don't spend my time writing mission statements or thinking about things like brand identity. I just think about what needs to be done today and how to get it finished by tomorrow. The people who come to us are usually locals who need help with something specific. We talk to them like neighbors because that is what they are. Sometimes we sit down for tea and talk about the weather or the local news before we even get to business. That is just the way things are done here. It might take a little longer, but it feels more natural. We are happy to be part of the community in Bhawanipur. We just keep working hard every single day to keep things going well.
