Mumbai Garments

Mumbai Garments is our shop located in Faridpur Chaipat, over in Paschim Medinipur. It is a local place where we keep a lot of different clothes on the shelves. We have piles of shirts and trousers that we try to keep organized, though it gets messy when we have a busy afternoon. The building is simple and sits right along the main way through the village. We spend most of our time folding things or talking to people who stop by to see what is new. It isn't a big city mall, just a regular shop where we know many of our customers by their first names. Sometimes the lighting isn't the best in the back corners, but we know where everything is kept. We get our stock in every few weeks and it takes us a long time to unpack all the boxes. My hands are usually dusty from handling the cardboard. We have a small mirror in the back for people to see how things fit. It’s been there since we opened. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we are here in Faridpur. On hot days, we sit near the front door to catch whatever breeze comes through. It’s a quiet life running a clothing store in this part of Medinipur, but we like the routine of it. We just keep things moving one day at a time. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat and we don't mind that at all.
