We operate out of Asansol, specifically over on Gopalpursatsang Road. MAJI REALCON PRIVATE LIMITED is a small outfit, and you’ll usually find Anindya Sundar Maji or one of the rest of us around the place. Being based in Asansol is different from the big city life in Kolkata. Things move a bit differently here, but the work is just as steady. We focus on local projects, mostly residential stuff for people in the neighborhood. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a place where we keep our tools, maps, and all the files for the houses we’re working on. We started this because we saw a lot of people looking for decent places to build, and we figured we could help out with that. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of laborers. Sometimes the weather gets in the way, or we have trouble getting the right materials delivered to the site on time. We don’t use a lot of big words or try to act like a giant firm. We’re local, we live nearby, and we know the roads and the people here. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We just take things one day at a time, making sure the brickwork is straight and the roofs don't leak. If you pass by Gopalpursatsang Road, that’s where you’ll find us most days of the week. It’s dusty but we like it. We hope to stay here for a long time.
