Biswabangla Micro Services Foundation

Up in the Hillview Park area of Asansol, near the Shiv Mindir, is where we have our foundation. We are based at Gayetri Mukherjee’s house. It is a nice enough area, a bit hilly like the name says, and usually quite peaceful compared to the main part of town. We have been running Biswabangla Micro Services Foundation from here for some time. We do not have a big team, just some local folks who help out. Most days are spent looking over papers or talking to people who stop by the Shiv Mindir and then find their way to us. The walk up here can be a bit steep if you are not used to it. Our office is just a simple room with the basics like a table and some old chairs. We do not need much more than that to stay on top of things. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, which is just part of life here in Burdwan, but we just wait it out. It is a very local operation. We know the neighbors and they know us. We try to keep things honest and straightforward without making a big fuss about anything. There is always work to be done, so we just get to it every morning. It is a quiet life but we stay busy enough with the paperwork. We like it here in Upper Hillview Park.
