Ali Mama Foundation

It is pretty quiet out here in Dishergarh today. We are tucked away in Sanctoria No 12, just past where Mumtaz Shah stays. This foundation, the Ali Mama Foundation, it is mostly just us trying to keep things moving. The building isn’t much to look at, just a regular place in Kulti, but it works for what we need. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and wait it out, maybe have some tea. We deal with all sorts of things that come our way from the village and the post office area nearby. It’s not like those big fancy offices you see in the city. We have some old desks and a lot of papers stacked up. People stop by when they need something, or just to say hello. It can get a bit dusty with the traffic nearby, but that’s just how it is here. Most days we are just busy with the small stuff that adds up. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know the area well. It’s been a while since we started, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit. We try to be helpful when we can. It’s just daily life here in West Bengal, nothing too complicated. We just keep the doors open and see what the day brings. It’s a lot of work, but someone has to stay here and handle things for the community.
