Sri Sankar General Stores

We are over at 26-123/2 in Parvathipuram Town. If you know where the Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company is, we are right near there. The shop isn't very big, but we manage to fit a lot of stuff onto the wooden shelves we built years ago. Every morning starts with the same routine of sweeping the front step and checking the inventory lists. Parvathipuram Town can get quite crowded, especially during the middle of the day when everyone is out running errands. We hear the traffic from the main road and the people talking as they walk past the insurance office. Our counters are a bit worn down from people leaning on them, but they serve their purpose well enough. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name and the door. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two and we just sit in the shade near the entrance until it comes back on. It is a simple way to spend the day, really. We talk to the neighbors and keep an eye on the street. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it is hot outside. We spend time restocking the bags and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s just a regular general store in a busy part of town. No big story behind it, just daily work in Parvathipuram.
