Kiran Department Store

Parvathipuram is where we are, right on the Main Road at number 132. We are very close to the Head Post Office street corner. It’s a very busy part of town. You can hear the post office bells and the sound of people rushing to mail their letters all day long. The store is full of stuff on every single shelf we have. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it gets a bit messy when we get a fresh delivery of stock. We’ve got everything from soap to rice and lentils. It’s a department store, but it’s a small, local one. We’ve been on this street for quite a long while now. The building is old, and the white paint is peeling in a few spots near the ceiling. We don't mind it much though. My family and the staff here just focus on getting things sold and helping people. We see the morning crowd going to work and then the same people coming back in the evening. The lights inside are a bit yellow and dim. We have a small wooden stool behind the counter where we sit when there are no customers. Most people who live in Parvathipuram know this Main Road very well. It’s the heart of the whole town. We handle the bills by hand mostly, or on the old machine we have. It’s just a simple business. No big logos or fancy uniforms. Just us in our regular clothes helping neighbors find what they need for their kitchens.
