J P Seafood Exim Llp

Being down in Kakdwip means everything revolves around the water and what comes out of it. Our place is in Rajnagar, which is a part of the South 24 Parganas district that stays quite active. We deal with seafood, so our days usually start long before the sun is even up. You can smell the salt and the fish in the air as soon as you get close to the area. It is a messy job, honestly. There is always water on the floor and ice melting in the crates. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the catch that comes in from the boats. If the fish isn't right, the whole day feels off. The office side of things is small and mostly filled with ledgers and some old chairs. Most of the real work happens where the cold storage is. We are constantly moving boxes around and making sure the temperature is just where it needs to be. It is a lot of heavy lifting and the guys are usually tired by noon. We send stuff out to different places, but we try to keep things simple. We have been part of the local scene here for a while and everyone knows the J P name around the docks. It is not a glamorous life, but it is what we know. The weather can be tough, especially during the monsoon, but we keep the gates open anyway even when it is raining sideways.
