Silvassa Art

Silvassa Art is located at Plot 56 in the Shanti Complex. We are right on the Main Road in Amli, just across from the Patel Petrol Pump. Being near the pump means there is always traffic and the sound of horns blowing all day long. The complex is usually full of people coming and going for different things. Our space is filled with bits and pieces of different art projects and signs we are working on. It’s not the cleanest place because there is always some cutting or painting going on. We have been in this part of Amli for a while. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. People stop by when they need something made for their own shops or homes. We don’t really do big marketing; people just know we are here because of the sign out front. Sometimes it’s just one person working, and other times we have a couple of guys helping out with the heavier stuff. It’s a practical workspace, not a gallery. We have some samples lying around from old jobs that never got picked up. It stays fairly dusty because of the main road, but that is just part of being in this location. We just keep our heads down and finish whatever is on the table for that day. It is a bit cramped, but we manage to get things done.
