Indian National Fire

Indian National Fire is located in the Chanod Colony area of Vapi. We are very close to the Silvassa-Vapi Main Road, so we hear the big trucks rumbling by all day and night. The dust from the road tends to settle on everything, so we are always wiping down our equipment. Our workspace is mostly a large garage-like area where we store and test fire extinguishers. It’s a very industrial part of town, so there aren't many trees or quiet spots around here. We spend a lot of time out in the sun or under the tin roof, which gets quite hot by noon. We aren't a big company with a lot of departments; it’s just us doing the physical labor. We check the seals and the gauges on every unit that comes through. Sometimes the traffic on the main road gets so bad that it takes us forever just to get across the street for some snacks. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just some old metal cabinets and a sturdy workbench. People in the colony know us as the guys who deal with the fire gear. We just take each day as it comes and try to stay on top of the repairs. It is a lot of heavy lifting and getting our clothes stained with foam or dry powder, but that is just part of the job. Vapi is a busy place, and we are just another small shop trying to get by.
