Our place, Alpha Packaging, is over at 336/A in the Balda GIDC area of Valsad. If you know where the Fountain Hotel is, we are quite close to that landmark, which makes it easier for people to find us. Being in the GIDC means we are surrounded by other factories and workshops, so it’s always a very industrious environment. We focus on packaging, so our unit is usually stacked high with cardboard, rolls of film, and various containers. It can get a bit cramped inside when a large order is being prepared, but we’ve learned how to use every bit of space we have. The noise of the packing machines is constant during the day, which can be a bit much if you aren't used to it, but for us, it’s just the sound of work. We have a small entrance where we keep some basic records, but most of the activity happens on the main floor. The road outside the GIDC can get pretty rough during the monsoon season, and we’ve had our fair share of puddles to deal with. We aren’t a huge corporation with fancy boardrooms; we’re just a practical packaging unit that helps other businesses get their products ready for shipping. Most of our days are spent checking the machines and making sure the output is what it needs to be. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
