You can find us over on College Road in Gangakhed. We are set up at Dashrath Misal’s place. It’s a busy part of town because of the college nearby, so there is always a lot of noise and students walking by in the afternoons. We started Sant Janai Nagarik because the people in Parbhani district needed a local spot for their money matters. It’s a multipurpose setup, so we try to handle different small things for the folks who live around here. We aren't experts at everything in the world, but we know how to run a Nidhi and keep things honest for our members. The office isn't very large at all. It’s just enough room for us and a couple of people waiting their turn. We use simple registers and a basic computer to keep track of everything. It’s better than going all the way to a big city bank where nobody knows your face. Here, we know who you are and which family you belong to. It makes the work feel more personal. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or work by the window light until it comes back on. That’s just life in Gangakhed for you. We just want to keep things going smoothly for our members without any extra fuss or complicated talk. We are just here doing the daily work as best as we can.
