Orient Cement Ltd

Orient Cement Ltd is based at the post in Gangakhed, which is a tehsil in the local area. Our location is quite simple and easy to find once you get into town. We handle the cement distribution for the surrounding villages and construction sites. The office is a small, functional building right next to where the trucks load up. It’s a dusty place, as you can imagine with all the cement moving around, but we don't mind it. Most of us who work here grew up in this area, so we know the people and the local roads very well. We don't have a big corporate department or anything like that. We just have a few people who handle the books and the sales. On hot days, the warehouse gets quite warm, so we spend a lot of time under the shade of the trees outside during our breaks. We use old ledgers to keep track of most things, though we do have a computer for the official records. People come from all over the tehsil to pick up their supplies. We often sit and talk with the drivers while they wait for their loads to be ready. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we do get very busy during the building season. We don't put out any big advertisements; people just know we are here at the Gangakhed post. It’s a quiet life and we just do our jobs day in and day out.
