BIG SHOPPING MALL

This mall is situated at Apna Corner. It is right opposite the Fire Brigade Office, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone who hasn't been here before. Being near the fire station means it can get a bit loud with the sirens sometimes, but it’s a good landmark. We have been running things here for a bit. It’s a shopping mall, but it feels more like a local community spot where people just walk in to see what's new. We don’t have those huge glass elevators or fancy fountains you see in the city center. It’s more basic than that. We spend a lot of time making sure the lights are working and the floors are swept. There’s always something that needs fixing, like a leaky tap or a door that squeaks too much. The shopkeepers inside are all local people. We know most of them by name. It gets really busy on the weekends when families come out. During the week, it’s a bit quieter, which is nice. We just try to keep the place running smoothly. It’s not a corporate operation with hundreds of people. Just a few of us making sure the mall stays open and everything is in its place at Apna Corner. It’s a lot of walking around and checking on things, but it’s okay. That is how we spend our days here in the building, making sure things stay organized.
